No product more encapsulates the difference between Japanese and American candy than cola Mentos. I picked up two flavors that seem rather easy to find, cola and grape. Japanese Mentos come in packages that appear very similar to American Mentos: long rolls each with fifteen small, round candies (technically dragées, which means they have a hard shell and a soft center). At only ¥99, they are one of the cheapest candies you can find.
